Re: Final 2008 tax bill and 2009 first half preliminary tax bill

In order to more accurately and efficiently process 2008-2009 tax payments, the Mayor and Council has appointed the JP Morgan Chase Bank as the Borough’s Tax Receiving Authority (N.J.S.A. 54:4-122.9).

The preferred method of payment is to remove the appropriate stub for the quarter you wish to pay and mail it with your payment in the envelope provided for your convenience. That address is:

P.O. Box 10312
Newark, NJ 07193-0312

Please note:

An estimated bill for third quarter 2008 taxes -- due August 1, 2008 -- was previously mailed.

For the payment due November 1, 2008 -- the first payment due from your new tax bill, stub 2008-4, fourth quarter 2008 taxes, is located at the bottom left-hand corner of the bill.

For the payment due February 1, 2009, stub 20098-1, first quarter 2009 taxes, is located at the lower right-hand corner of the bill.

For the payment due May 1, 2009, stub 2009-2, second quarter 2009 taxes, is located at the lower left-hand corner of the bill.
