Senior Citizen Services: General Information


HE RICHARD A. NEST SENIOR CITIZENS’ CENTER offers social, educational, and recreational programs to Fort Lee residents age 55 and older - from our morning cafe to lunch served in our beautiful dining room. The Center is a community focal point providing:

  • information and referral
  • volunteer opportunities
  • socializing
  • opportunities to be active and creative
  • social work services

Some of our activities include dinner theatre trips and monthly luncheons - please call 592-3655 or 592-3670 for details on each. Pool tables and card tables are available daily.

Jitney transportation is available free of charge to Fort Lee residents 55 and over on designated routes that will include a stop at the Nest Center. Please visit the Parking Authority section of this web site for more information.

Lunch is served Monday through Friday from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Please call 592-3754 to reserve your lunch for the following day; the suggested donation is $1.25.

Computer classes are available in the categories of Internet, Beginners, Intermediate, Advanced, and Microsoft Works. Please call 592-3655 for information regarding computer class schedules and fees.
