The Borough of Fort Lee is proceeding with its streetscape improvement program, with the phase Palisade Avenue from Main Street to Palisade Avenue/Rt. 67 (Day Hill Square). Improvements include:
With this improvement comes an opportunity and a responsibility for all property owners in the area. The opportunity comes for you to work with us in repairing and replacing under our contract, but at your cost, any related lateral connections that are your responsibility that may need to be replaced or repaired. We will be performing an internal examination of each of these connections in the near future. Please contact us regarding the state of these lines into your property. Should they require replacing or repairing, we will work with you to discuss undertaking these repairs now. NOTE: If these repairs are not made when the Borough does its improvements and takes place after we complete the streetscape project, they will be done solely at your cost completely, so we urge you to call us now. With this investment by the Mayor and Council in improving the commercial vitality with new sidewalks comes a responsibility on your part to ensure that your property is in the best shape it needs to be in. The Borough of Fort Lee will be identifying and will report to you any health, safety, or code violations that may be outstanding on the property.
