Senior Non-Emergency Medical Transportation
(Fort Lee Residents Only)

This program will provide transportation to senior citizens who reside in Fort Lee to certain hospitals and doctors along two designated routes for non-emergency medical treatment appointments such as: Cobalt treatments, therapy, x-rays, doctor appointments, etc. A senior needing transportation must call the Parking Authority at 592-3600 and make an appointment. Please be advised that there is a limited amount of seating, therefore, be sure to allow sufficient notice to assure a seat. Patrons are advised to call the Parking Authority at the above number upon completion of their doctors’ appointments for their return trip home.

The transportation is to be available three days a week (Monday, Wednesday, and Friday) starting at 8:30a.m. and will make two trips of delivery to the hospitals and two pick up trips for return to Fort Lee. Seniors may be dropped off at doctors’ offices directly located along either of the two routes and picked up approximately two hours later. The hospital and doctors’ visits and treatments must be completed within a two hour period.

Holy Name Hospital
Monday and Friday mornings
This trip will go to Holy Name Hospital along Teaneck Road and will return on Teaneck Road to Fort Lee. This trip will also include transportation to all doctors within the Borough of Fort Lee, and along the route to Holy Name Hospital. The vehicle will pick up between 8:30 a.m. and 10:10 a.m.

Hackensack Hospital
Wednesdays only - mornings & afternoons
This trip will travel to Hackensack Hospital and all doctors within the Borough of Fort Lee. The vehicle will pick up between 8:30 a.m. and 10:10 a.m., and then between 1:00 p.m. and 2:10 p.m.

Englewood Hospital
Monday and Friday afternoons
This trip will go to Englewood Hospital along Engle Street and will return on Dean Street to Fort Lee. This trip will also provide transportation to all doctors within the Borough of Fort Lee, and along the route to Englewood Hospital. The vehicle will pick up between 1:00 p.m. and 2:10 p.m.
