Battle of the High School Bands 2012
The Fort Lee Film Commission invites all high school aged bands to enter our annual Battle of the High School Bands contest to be held on June 8, 2012 at 7 PM at the Jack Alter Fort Lee Community Center, 1355 Inwood Terrace.
Cancellation/rescheduling of April 12, 2012 Regular Meeting & change in meeting time for April 19, 2012 Executive Session
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the regular meeting of the Borough of Fort Lee Mayor and Council scheduled for April 12, 2012 has been cancelled and has been rescheduled to Thursday, April 19, 2012 at 8:00 p.m.
In addition the starting time for the already scheduled April 19th Executive Session Meeting has been changed from 7:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
Agendas for both meetings will be made available in the Borough Clerk’s Office on Wednesday, April 18th at 2:00 p.m.

Important notice from Fort Lee Police Department regarding pedestrian safety
The Borough of Fort Lee has recently experienced an increase in motor vehicle accidents involving pedestrians. The Fort Lee Police Department’s Chief of Police, Thomas O. Ripoli, would like to address our residents about taking proper safety precautions while navigating our streets. On a daily basis, the traffic volume in Fort Lee leaves pedestrian traffic in danger of increased risk of injury. However, simple practices adopted by those on foot can significantly decrease the chance of being involved in an accident. First and foremost, please use crosswalks. The intersections in Fort Lee are well lit and cars expect to see pedestrians within the crosswalks, as opposed to someone crossing midblock. Also, please walk in accordance with the light cycles.
"To Kill a Mockingbird" screening & live production
The Fort Lee Film Commission will be presenting a 50th anniversary screening of the 1962 Universal Studios Academy Award-Winning film, "To Kill a Mockingbird", in addition to a live production by the Hudson Shakespeare Company, this April.
Cliffhanger Spring Film Festival to honor women filmmakers of Fort Lee
The Fort Lee Office of Cultural & Heritage Affairs and Fort Lee Public Library present the Cliffhanger Spring 2012 Film Festival on March 2, March 4, April 20, and May 4, including historic walks, film screenings, and an exhibit at the Fort Lee Museum.
